update of my update
Today we got a reprieve: my attendings were reinstated until Jun 30. That means that I have a program until June 30 or until the hospital closes, whichever comes first. My attendings will continue to work on an option in-state, but I will also be working on finding another spot for July 1. At least I have some time to be circumspect about it.
This is all very crappy & I've considered quitting altogether rather than leave my husband and daughter. I can face 12 months away much better than 18 months with only 2 months to prepare.
