Black Stump
Well i got back from Black Stump today!! Wow, it was such an amazing experience. incredible. So many different things to see and do. Markets, workshops, speakers, bands chill out areas, and all going on in different places at the same time. there was so much to do and it was all focused around God! Mike, Ben and i were on security for most of the time. we'd do shifts of 3 hours, then a bit of a break, then another 3 hours etc. some real late nites patroling around making sure the kids didnt get upto too much mischeif. there were about 4000 people there mind you so there was alot of campsite and area to cover!!!!!(oh there were other security teams, we were alocated areas, but still lots of walking anways!!)
So yeh amazing time spent in God's presence. 4 days camping with good friends was also a highlight. great conversations.
Highlight had to be at the altercall which was on last night. I was one of the prayer partner dudes that pray with people when an alter call was made and people wanted to commit/recommit their lives to Christ. So anyways i was standing there ready and people were coming forward to share their pain and needs and be prayed for and i asked God that since ive never really done this before please maybe send me a young dude who needs someone to talk too. And then this young dude called Zac comes up (bout 17 yrs old) and asks if i could chat to him and help him. Man!!!! i was truly blessed to beable to talk with this young guy and give him hope that Jesus still loves him no matter what he has done. We had a great chat, and he shared his heart and we talked through some issues then we prayed. After he left i just prayed and thanked God for the opportunity. Hopefully Zac will be on a road of healing and forgiveness now. ive gotta keep praying for him that he'll focus and turn his attention to God now and continue to seek him.
Wow. anyways, im home now and completely dirty from working and camping, which is always fun, but i should shower now.....oh but ofcourse the hot water isnt working either, so im gonna have to heat up some water and sorta rinse....hmmm maybe ill just have a cold shower....
alright well im off to clean my room....its also filthy.
