Canterbury Trip (Part 6)

Well, we got the stuff, and spent about £80 in total. Not great, considering we were only going to buy two pots of paint and a roller! They charged us twice for something, but other than that it was all needed stuff. My way of looking is if a job is worth doing its worth doing well, so we bought some ready made poly filler, a filler knife, a tin of white gloss, a tin of green gloss, and an assortment of other things, including a screwdriver i bought for her. I never understand how you can not have a screwdriver in a home, or perhaps that's just me. Today we got the skirting boards and everything else sanded down we also got the holes in the wall filled in, could have done a few more of them since the idiot before hadn't bothered to remove the plugs from the previous screws which were obviously off a shelf unit or something along those lines. *Sigh* I'd rather spend a few more days and do a good job than rush it. We also managed to gloss the paintwork, and my oh my what a difference it made! Its now white! The filled holes were also sanded down. Oh and we went to a awesome Chinese, its all you can eat, but you order your meal, rather than a buffet service, and you can just keep on ordering. Lovely thing is their presentation and portion sizes, which were ideal, small. Which is what you want in an all you can eat restaurant so you can try many different things. Best Chinese restaurant I've ever been in! Lets see what tomorrow brings! As a final note, I've been thinking and realised that I have a lusting for travelling, and its not exactly the getting there which makes it special, its the travel for me.
