The Waiting Game

Dec 16, 2006 00:39

You know the
Click
Where everything solidifies
Joins together
Makes sense?
You want to break down in tears
Because of the beauty;
Your heart swells and feels like bursting.
It is clear enough to see all the fibres
And how they all work together.
You know that?
Tonight in a room with holiday music and laughter
I clicked.
Amidst the laughter and conversation.
In the company of my first and oldest friend.
I couldn’t say anything.
I couldn’t.
I want to shout it scream it write it proclaim it.
I couldn’t.
I still can’t.
Of all the games the waiting game is the worst.

(Home is hard and good as always, I have missed Becca. She gets me best.)
