Just another lonely evening with me and my wand.

One giant squid tentacle broke the surface, gently curling back over itself before retreating into the depths of Hogwarts Lake.

Carpe Retractum! Another orange rope shot from the end of the wand, pulling the Flying Seahorses towards his perch here on the edge of the water.

Snape had instructed Draco to collect some of these small creatures for the Girding Potion that the third year left-behinds needed to brew this coming week. This was his last task of the evening, and he was ready to be done with it.

Another orange rope, and another Flying Seahorse in his jar.

He was looking forward to supervising this potion, seeing as he intended to make it himself, and the loss of ingredients seem much less strange after a class had just attempted brewing it.

Assistant teaching for Snape certainly had it's strengths, and so did the Girding Potion.

After closing the lid of the collection jar, he made to stand. While walking back to the castle, underneath a common tree, he noticed colourful eggs that stuck to the underside of some of the leaves. He recognized them as Fairy eggs, and remembered that Fairy wings were a key ingredient in the Girding Potion.

He dug about in his bag until he produced a glass phial. Plucking two egg covered leaves from the tree, he gently rolled them up and stuck them inside of the tube.
