Potions Tutoring

If you fail in your endeavors from day one, why not just quit?
Then I wouldn't have to put up with first year Huffle nonsense.
I do enjoy the target practice, but this must be what teaching math to a cat is like.

You are also having troubles with tutoring? I do not mean to intrude, but this is a thing I also suffer.

Trouble is not what I am experiencing, but I am suffering with certainty. Particularly with the Huffles, House of leftovers. Somehow we can justify sending the other House's castoffs into a potions lab. It is criminal.

The Hufflepuffs, they are not so uniformly unteachable. Dull, but they are eager, which is something. Your housemates, you know, they are the hard ones, they think they know everything so they will not learn from anyone. Yours, and mine, but mine I do not need to tutor, because they do not fail elementary charms quite so often. Yours, they do not fail elementary potions quite so often, yes?

I'd say my housemates know quite a bit about a lot of things, while not being uncontrollably eager or dull. The Huffles would do well turning that energy into productivity, like cutting roots or pronouncing syllables, instead of knocking over cauldrons and dropping their wands into boiling brews. I don't have these issues with even my first year Slytherins. Or admittedly, the Ravenclaws.

Many-- not all, but many, maybe-- of your housemates know several things about several things, yes. But most of these things are not the wand movements for charms, it is unfortunate. Of course, they wish to turn the tutoring into politics game, when no sensible Ravenclaw would go into dungeons looking to "defeat" potions and wield power this way. Mine, they simply go because they know they must learn.
