time for some pictures!
This weekend has been very relaxing, and mildly productive.
I've been wanting a new Absinthe fountain for a while, and decided that I might enjoy making one. While out for a stroll and some shopping on Saturday I wandered into Liberty and came across two interesting items:
1) a heavy solid-metal candleholder
2) a glass candleholder
I plan on buffing the finish off the base and treating it with my a fake pewter finish, and of course need some spigots for the decanter... I have tentatively chosen these:
All of this will hopefully go nicely with the Absinthe glasses and themed coasters _gryffinnoir_ got me for my birthday...
While out today I found two other amusing items...
...and because I am a total geek I have decided to build a model...
This model is super easy to construct, but I plan on doing some extensive work on the paint job in order to redeem myself as a would-be model builder.
