I have been rediculously busy lately.
Aside from work being very hectic with a large number of expansion plans (including a new location on West 8th) which I am project lead on, I have suddenly been hit with a lot of freelance work.
So far, I have an ongoing project proposal for a VC downtown, a website contract (and possibly another to follow), and some general PC maintenance stuff for one of my long-time customers. In total, this means I will not likely be enjoying any full weekends for a while, and will certainly be putting in some long days during the week.
I also have some work to do on my own webserver, which now hosts three different sites... yes, I have become a hosting provider.
Today I took my car in for service, not because it was due for regular maintenance, but because the clutch suddenly started to feel strange. At this point the transmission is being removed and pictures taken of the clutch for appraisal by Volkswagen -- if they determine the malfunction is not "driver error" then I don't pay a cent... otherwise I could be looking at a huge bill.
Hopefully all the freelance work will not be going to a car repair bill. Having said that, I have not paid for any significant repair costs on a vehicle... ever, so in the end I can't complain too much. Still, I haven't done anything to damage the clutch, so I will really fight this if they try to stick me with the bill -- the car is, after all, under warranty for another three years.
