Graduation

Dec 17, 2010 23:06

After countless of late nights/ no-sleep nights accompanied by friends/ junk food/ coffee/ music, we've made it to the academic finish line. After weeks of searching for that perfect grad-worthy dress (I found mine about a month ago!) and heels, accessories to pull the look together leading up to the big day, it has come and gone. This whole week had seen plenty of graduands walking in and out of QPAC and of course that includes us girls from the Haus of K+G. Excitement was definitely in the air in the Haus of K+G, and it felt so good to don the Hogwartesque robes and I felt so smart wearing the mortar hat... We've earned it :)

We've come a long way... It's been a great 1.5 years living together. Geri, I just wanna say thank you for being such a wonderful person to live with, and I'll truly miss the times we all spent together. Be it cooking/ doing household chores/ swatting flies together (like in semester one), holidaying together (like in semester two), all the times spent chit-chatting and drinking together (throughout the three semesters)... these memories are priceless.

As for you my sister, you've been awesome at cleaning the house, and a very good emotional support for me. I can't thank God enough for all the nice things that you two do for me (read: like wanting to catch Lotso in the gachapon machine for me because I was feeling a little down).

And of course, family is important and I'm thankful that they are able to come down and bear witness to our achievements.

As I walked across the stage to collect my parchment, all I could think about was: 1) Catch the eye of the presenter and tip my hat at the right time. 2) Don't trip and fall flat on my face. 3) Please no wardrobe malfunction, please. hahaha

Mum and both of us.

Sam gave me gerberas after presenting me with his 'veggie bouquet'... hahaha! :) Mum got us cute stuffed toys wearing the graduation robes and mortar hats. Steve and Jean gave us stuffed cats in graduation robes too!

Many people I know are graduating this semester too...

And I made cards for them :)

Pefita & I

Joel, my fellow presenter at 4EB FM. Who knew Sam (Felicia's old housemate) was our mutual friend?! What a small small world...

Sam & I. For all the nights you spent waiting up for me, checking on my word count hourly and making sure I don't get the hunger pangs in the wee hours, being my cheerleader when all I wanna do is to pout and whinge... Thank you :)

Now this chapter has come to an end, another... is just beginning :)
