hurricane ivan update
I am sitting in my bedroom typing this, outside are strong gusts of wind and the foreboding of forthcoming danger. Hurricane Ivan is still a hurricane, even this far inland (I'm in the Northeast corner of Alabama). It's going to be over me in about an hour and a half so I am hurrying this so I can help my family prepare (we've already taped the windows). They've declared a tornado warning til 8pm tonight, and hurricane tornados are not fun, oh no you can't see these coming until it's right over you. (been there, done that -- hurricane opal and andrew we're quite enough ... but Ivan is the biggest ever recorded .. yippee.)
They are saying we could lose power for up to a week. At least I'll get some books read ... if hopefully I still have a house by tomorrow. Friends - You can still feel free to call if you like, I could use the distraction. Refer to the friends only post before this one for my #.
