you are fearless in a way I could never be

Was supposed to have today off but they are inducing Heather on Tuesday afternoon and I had originally asked for Wednesday off so I could be there for the birth but Pam forgot the calendar while making the schedule and put me down for 8 hours. I informed her of her mistake and she agreed to remove me from Wednesday if I came into work Sunday and work instead. So I did. Worked for 6 hours, finished off all the totes and stocked so much dog food that my ass is barking. Amy started today which is great since we've lost 3 people in two weeks there. So I got off at 1 o'clock. Stood about for 30 minutes waiting on my ride because I didn't drive today. Was irked.

Got home, visited with my bundle of nephewness joy, called Brooke's house she wasn't home so I left a message with Meagan. Brooke called back, we finialized our plans. Got a shower and she arrived. I dryed my hair and we left. Went to Seven Star to eat Chinese, then it was off to indulge my M. Night obsession. Saw the trailers to great movies! Ladder 49 [<3 Joaquin] and National Treasure [great action plot and SEAN BEAN!!!!!].

The Village, bloody brilliant! I still hold Signs as his best movie, but Village is a close second. Loved the twists and the thought of innocence being protected in a world as horrible as ours. <333 M. Night Shyamalan! Plot was gold! Fantastic! Bryce Howard blew me away. Her first movie, you so wouldn't think it. She made me cry so many times. ("Papa, I can't see his color!") She was very compelling. Adored William Hurt! Cherry Jones was great as was Brendan Glesson. And omg Adrien Brody. Some actors win an Oscar and then you see roles after that and wonder WTF they did (*coughs*HALLE BERRY*coughs*), but not Adrien. wonderful! Love him so damn much! He stole my heart in The Pianist & Harrison's Flowers and he still has it after the Village.

Compliants: I don't think Sigourney did her best acting in this. Speaking in the old Colonial langauge they used didn't suit her.  Judy Greer didn't seem very authentic either. She made it sound too read and not natural enough. The lack of Joaquin flustered me a bit. Trailers were misleading. Could have used a bit more Michael Pitt as well lol. Never hurt anyone right?

Final Verdict: A MUST SEE! *****

Had lots of fun tonight Brooke!! *hugs* Though my wallet cannot say the same lol.

I'm so tired and I still have 10 1/2 hours to work tomorrow. I swear I could kill the people who quit. I need to do the dishes but I would rather cuddle in bed with the new book I bought tonight .. 'The Apple Branch', it's about Celtic Mysticism. Yeah well I'm off to pee and then cuddle, screw the dishes I say.
