Work in an hour and 29 mins. How cruel. Went to the Chamber of Commerce today and applied for Wal-Mart, had a sorta mini-interview as well. They seemed happy that I wanted to work 3rd shift. Said they would call back later for a full interview.
Went to the Book Corner and bought 'Phantom of the Opera' by Gaston Leroux and 'Idylls of the King' by Alfred Lord Tennyson. Going back next weekend to get more books, probably. Lots more I wanted but my damn car payment is due. I still want The Aenid, House of Seven Gables, Once and Future King and Frankenstein. Plus, I want to work on completing my Jane Austen and Brontë collections.
Madre and I went to the library on Saturday and I got some goodies then. Checked out 'The Way of the Wizard' by Deepak Chopra, 'Old Souls: Scientific Evidence for Past Lives' by Tom Shroder, 'The Mystery of the Oracles' by Philipp Vandenberg, 'Daily Life of the Ancient Greeks' by Robert Garland, 'Daily Life in Ancient Rome' by Florence Dupont, 'The Penguin Book of Modern Fantasy by Women' by A. Susan Williams and bought 'Shadowmancer' by G.P. Taylor (hardback for only $4! new copy!) and 'Smallville: Curse' by Alan Grant (75 cents man!! perfect copy!!) from the book sale they were having.
Lots of new reading. mmm. books. *still needs to read what she already has lining the shelves. *innocent grin*
