So I have come to the conclusion that some people are extremely ungrateful.
Seriously, kids. Think about the person you can talk to about anything with. Think about the person that you can't keep secrets from, the person you can always count on to be there for you. This all sounds clichéd; I am well aware of that. But the fact of the matter is, you ALL have someone like this, do you not? You have someone in your life who will sincerely care if you're crying, and will go further than just giving you a hug, patting you on the head and telling you to get over it. Right?
Now imagine not having that person. Imagine never even meeting that person, or any such person to fill that role in your life.
Doesn't feel so good, does it?
Okay. Stop complaining. No matter how much this feels like the end of the world, there will always be someone worse off than you. And sure, I hate when people are like that -- all, "Buck up, little camper!" you know? But I really think this needs to stop. Please, no more whining. No more melodrama about prom, which is really just a very expensive and even more so over-rated dance that people wait their entire high school careers for only to be disappointed when it's not the most romantic night of their life.
