Should've made a teruteru bouzu beforehand...

Crazy thunderstorm at midnight killed my house's Wifi. Or to be more precise, melted the phone wire. (bunnychan86, thank you for your SIM card as that's the whole house's only means of internet now T_T)

Dad needed to pass something to a client, mum wanted to do shopping, so we took Miyo-san to Malacca for some sightseeing, stopping at Seremban for beef noodles - and I just realised we forgot to buy Seremban char siew pau OTL - before reaching our destination. Unfortunately it was raining the whole journey, so we took shelter in the shopping mall connected to Hatten Hotel while waiting for the rain to let up. It didn't, so while Mum went shopping, we climbed up St. Paul's Hill, had a look at the Dutch cemetery within the church ruins and St. Francis Xavier's statue before heading down to the Stadhuys building. (Typical tourist course, yes.)

Rain was beginning to lessen, so we headed to Jonker Street. Had a look at an antique shop; there was a very old rusty gate which was selling for "only" RM 90000. Pffft. Had coffee and kuih bangkit at a coffeeshop, then met up with Mum at Parkson. Got a pair of simple red shoes to match the 'cheongsam' I got on Monday, which made mum's day. Had a seafood dinner at a coffeeshop - Hoi Kee : sweet and sour fish, baked crabs, stirfry kailan and butter prawns. Pretty good.

life is good, malaysia
