One of the things that make me really appreciate being in the school I'm in now is that we get to watch certain stage plays for free. :D Last year was Haruka Toki no Nake de 2, today was Hanasakeru Seishounen.
I admit: I have never heard of Hanasakeru Seishounen before this. But classmate Kaatai wanted to go, and it's not everyday you get 9000yen tickets for free, so I figured it was worth watching. XD;
And I'm really glad I went! Even though I did a quick read-up on Wikipedia the night before, I had only got the main gist of the heroine having to choose between three suitors; something about a revolution in a Middle Eastern country; and a Chinese bodyguard, so the first half was quite confusing, but somehow managed to figure out things after that.
We got there just in time to settle in our seats before the lights dimmed and music started playing.. when suddenly everyone on stage burst into song. Song? I thought it would only be a stage play, but the first part was practically a musical. And not five minutes into the show, I fell in love with Hirose Yusuke (actor who plays Eugene)'s singing voice. *__* So smooth! Also found Kubota Yuki (Li Ren) and Shinotani Hijiri (Rumaty) visually appealing, although the way Kubota played his character was one of the highlights for me.
Toranosuke! How could I forget such an adorable character? His actor, Tochihara Rakuto, really reminded me of Koguma, albeit a livelier, cuter version. And the Toranosuke-Li Ren exchanges had the audience in stitches XD;;
It seemed quite short compared to Harutoki2; lasted slightly less than 2 hours. However, during the ending sequence, the actors walked off stage ala fashion show and went round the audience's seats.. and since we were seated in the best area of the hall, I got to see Toranosuke, Harry and Eugene up close. 8DDDDD (Yeah I think my breath hitched when Hirose turned round..and found that I couldn't meet his stare for more than one second lololol MABUSHII YOOO MABUSHII SUGIRUUUU LOLOLOL)
Aiyo I so dame ningen la. ;v;
And since we were in Ikebukuro, we decided to go the BL cafe there - BL gakuen, more like? We were joined by classmate Kakuta-san and anime batchmate Miyaoka-san. Viva la fujoshi! XD; We got lost for almost an hour. Bad map is bad; managed to find the place in the end thanks to Miyaoka-san's handphone map. ;w; We stood outside for about 5 minutes laughing at the signboards around.
Ikebukuro danshi BL gakuen lolololololol it's here
http://blcafe.jp/pc/index.html Finally gathered enough courage to go up the flight of stairs (I was last though), before being welcomed into the "classroom". The cafe's concept was a classroom (hence the gakuen), where we all became first-year students XD; (Yay, I'm 16 again!). The guy who welcomed us in was first-year Ashirogi, who explained that we could differentiate classmates from seniors by the colour of the ties : first-years had red, second-years blue, third-years... pink. XD No third-years when we went there, unfortunately.
Really glad Kakuta-san came along, since the rest of us were too embarrassed to talk! She can be a real tease at times (I know, I sit next to her on Wednesdays); she seemed to have a good time teasing the guys! I got talking once the ball started rolling, but Kaatai and Miyaoka-san were pretty quiet. ^^; But I give two thumbs up for hospitality. The guys knew how to clear the air of awkwardness, and like a real school, classmates would address each other casually / with slang; seniors would talk to us normally (unlike normal cafes, where the waiters are always super polite to customers), ruder actually, like "Oi, teme, kocchi koi.", whereas we have to be polite toward the seniors and use desu and -masu. As they told us, that cafe is in the 1.5th dimension - half reality XD;
There was another first-year, Rito - he was adorable ;w; Soooooo cute, I really had to resist the urge to pat him on the head/pinch his cheeks. He showed us photo albums of their past events (apparently they have events every month; he actually crossdressed as Santarina + bare legs!) and asked us what type of guys we like. At that point, I had to remind myself that I was in a BL cafe instead of a host club! We replied "Ikemen!" to which he said "Yeah, I like good looking guys too!" XDXDXD Ashirogi warned us that while Rito is a tennen (naturally blur), he's also a koakuma (little devil) type and isn't above teasing seniors. (He related a story where he, Rito and two other seniors went out to eat; when they had finished, Rito was still busy finishing his parfait, causing the seniors to wait for him. Ashirogi had to remind Rito "Hey Rito, it's time to go, hurry up say your thank yous already." - to which Rito calmly spooned up the last bite, smiled at the senior and fed him. Said senior's impatience dissolved into thin air after that XD)
The waiters kept rotating - we got a second-year, Haru-senpai, with glasses. Without lenses, just the frame. So much for my megane character! He's cute yet extremely dorky, but that just added to the appeal (he sort of reminded me off Hioka-senpai, my real-life senpai who used to wear fake glasses because he looked better with them..and yes I'm geting sidetracked). Again, had to remind myself that no, I was supposed to fangirl over Haru-senpai hitting it off with another guy, not over him! ;w; butbutbutbutbut so very cute agagagagaa He has a sort of height-complex too; he wore those add-10cm-to-your-height shoes XD; Kakuta-san had a field day jabbing him about his height, and how it was to be compared to the other guys.
I..really can't remember all their names; couldn't really hear either, since the girls at the counter seemed to be long-time customers and seemed right at home.. and made quite a lot of noise ^^; I know there was a second-year, Kikuchi Ayato, and another second-year.. whose name I don't recall...
We left after an hour (1200yen for the first hour inclusive of one drink, every consecutive 30 minutes is 500yen)... I wished we had ordered something, but the "services" cost around 800yen. :/ If there were more of use maybe we could have split that, but oh well.
To be honest, this round seemed more like a host club than a BL cafe since we didn't order anything.. I think I would have if it had just been Kaatai and me though. ;v; I managed to catch glimpses of some waist-hugging and touching and other such BL-like gestures.. but it wasn't enough lolololol Might go back again, but only if someone else goes along? Kind of want to check out the other bar-themed BL cafe in Akiba now.. apparently the "BL shaker" is one of the more dangerous drinks on that menu..
