And now, for the fangirling.
Before Starry Sky, Durarara!, Hetalia, before FullMetal Alchemist, Saiyuuki and Rurouni Kenshin and Sailormoon (yes Sailormoon!), before I started watching anime, were books. Books, roughly divided into two categories : horses - Silver Brumby series, Jinny series (yes I had that apparently very girly obsession of horses - I still love horses!), and, crime and mystery. Starting from The Three Investigators, to Agatha Christie to the thick mystery compilations my cousin had - and of course, Sherlock Holmes.

Crazy way of deducting - check. ♥

British humour and sarcasm - double check XD;
That ridiculously high feeling I get after a good thrill - CHECK.
I used to compare Sherlock Holmes's, Agatha Christie's characters' and The Three Investigators' methods of deductions - Holmes's being my favourite - scientific, yet not necessarily logical, but thought it a pity that it couldn't be applied to the present day - what with modern technology and the social change since the Victorian era. (Various kinds of transportation would have made tracking harder, the clear lines between ranks and titles and what kind of articles of clothing, manner of speech different classes would have adopted would probably have been very much blurred.) Shame on me for having that thought even cross my mind! Yes, of course they would have incorporated technology into the plot, silly girl - it must be me that's stuck two centuries back.
Gah I want to watch the first episode all over again ♥
