I could guess that Danny Boyle's Oscar nominated film 127 Hours was shot in like a very short period of time maybe just weeks or maybe 5 days (127 hours). Into the film, just barely 30 minutes into it we are already taken into the scene where the main character got trapped in the canyon. So I thought; is it going to be like this till the end of the film? With clever camera angles, flashbacks and the charm of James Franco we are taken to a one man performance movie. How will he ever get out of that? Alive? Will he make it? It got me into thinking that most of us even without a cell wouldn't survive, or getting locked out from the apartment wouldn't even survive or anything else. But given the special conditions, and the situation one is stuck with a dilemna, in an accident, trapped. In the movie's case he was in the extremist condition, with just nature and time against him. Its like a McGyverish situation or an Iron Chef challenge on what to do with what you have. But really its this man against the immovable rock, not a being, not a beast but a static, heavy, unreactive object, trapped helpless and miserable. I think only Americans can re-tell such tales with video blogging and drama. Just in my honest opinion. The water hole lokos the least scary, it looked like a clear pool of aQUA GATORADE, WHICH i THINK WAS A BIT STYLIZED, IN REALITY i EXPECT IT TO BE DARK AND SCARY. Sorry for the caps. The film is a lot of things, engaging and very fulfilling. It almost moved me to tears at the point where... never mind will just tell you about it when you get to watch it. SO go see it.
