"It's okay," I say, smiling at him. I knew the drawbacks when Avasa and I started this. I still wouldn't want any other guy. "Yeah, I wouldn't miss the Prom. I'll be there."

"Nobody'd better ever hit you," I say, smiling at him, but I'm serious. I know he's more than capable of taking up for himself with the werewolf-ness, but there's something about him that makes me feel big-sister protective.

"Anytime," I say. I sigh and stand up, stretching. "They should just cancel the last two weeks of school," I remark. "Nobody's into it anymore anyway."

I lean over and reach a hand out to help him up. "I guess I'd better get to bed. It'd be real impressive if I fell asleep in English again like I did last week." I smirk.
