So, okay, you know how I've been complaining that our house is too full? Not only do we have my sister's high school friend staying here since they got back from their wacky time-travel adventure, but this guy named Ethan Rayne is here right now, too. I glance up, a little startled. I'd given up on my homework in favor of some heavy daydreaming, and I was lying across my bed on my stomach with my knees bent, feet swinging in the air. The window's open, and I say, "Hey, Jor. Come in."

I give him the eye. The big sister-type Eye of Death that I've seen from Buffy so often during my life. "I never want the superficial 'I'm fine' answer from you, Jordy," I tell him.

I stare at him, sighing. Poor boy. Life is weird enough without supernatural wonk making it worse. "Does this plan of isolation have anything to do with the whole weird Bronze thing last weekend?" I ask.

"What, you didn't want to be a babe magnet?" Hmm, teasing may not be the best tactic right now. "I'm kidding. J? Well, I think..." There's not much I can say without breaking the cardinal girl rule of not dishing stuff to the guys they kind of, sort of, might possibly be interested in. That's not cool.
