It was great. It was astonishing. It was liberating, it was sad, it wasn't the end. If you don't know I'm referring to the Return of The King premiere, why are you here anyway? Working together and putting our all into a trilogy that was Peter's dream to make, we all became so close. I hope that remains. I know this has been discussed before and I could discuss it again and again, but I don't want to lose touch with any of those I met while working on LOTR. It was a lifechanging experience. It was different. It was self-discovery, learning about myself as an actor, and getting to meet so many other people.
I'm not sure when it was because I tend to lose track of time at these events because if you look at your watch, it goes faster, but Miss Otto decided she was to challenge me to a drinking contest. Needless to say, she lost. She was a gracious loser, and she'll hurt me if I don't mention that it was close, but I still won. Johnny, I still can't believe you told her about the bra incident. She didn't see it, right in front of her. I still have it in my suitcase. She reminded me about ten to twenty times to give it to her, but I keep forgetting. She was not so secretly hoping my luggage would get searched at the airport. Fortunately enough for me, she didn't get that wish.
We're in London at Craig's. I'm sort of the carry-on houseguest, and I made a breakfast of overcooked hot cereal this morning to express my gratitude. I think we'll play Twister and discuss Nietzsche tonight.
