James Kyson Lee (Hiro's friend Ando on "Heroes") is in a new indie film, "Akira's Hip-Hop Shop", written and directed by Joseph Doughrity, a protege of John Singleton.
Will it be as predictable as the trailers make it appear? Indie or no, we are still in Hollywood, and trailers are not supposed to scare people away by suggesting a film might be thought provoking. Let's hope it's not "Guess Who's Coming To Dinner" only with turntables. Unlikely, given Doughrity's background.
