(no subject)
My Hofstra Orientation was, in a word, awful. :) The people there are quite a different beast than what we have here in the Burg. The majority of girls are all rich, pretentious bitches and the guys are, putting lightly, absolutely fucking retarded. The only nice boys I met...were gay. If I would have heard one more bleached-blonde, fake-nailed, anorexic cheerleader say that she was afraid of the freshman fifteen, I'm sure I would have blown my brains out. Woo-hoo! Yeah 2010!!!
On a lighter, less bitter note, I did might a few awesome people. About 7. Maybe 8.
The most exciting part was when I made my schedule. Which screams one of two things out to those keeping track here: 1. Danielle was miserable. 2. Danielle is a loser. Maybe it screams both, I dunno. :)
Here is the schedule that I love more than life itself:
Monday:
9:05 - 10:00 - Cell Biology and Genetics
10:10 - 11:05 - General and Inorganic Chemistry
11:15 - 12:10 - Calculus I (woo-hoo for repeating a class I mutilated in high school!)
Tuesday:
9:35 - 11:00 - English Composition I
11:10 - 12:35 - Calculus
2:20 - 5:20 - Biology Lab
Wednesday:
9:05 - 10:00 - Biology and Genetics
10:10 - 11:05 - Inorganic Chemistry
12:45 - 1:40 - Random ass extra hour of biology lecture?
Thursday:
8:30 - 9:25 - Random ass extra hour of chemistry lecture...
9:35 - 11:00 - English Comp
11:10 - 12:35 - Calculus
2:20 - 5:10 - Chemistry Lab
Friday:
9:05 - 10:00 - Biology and Genetics
10:10 - 11:05 - Inorganic Chemistry
11:15 - 12:10 - Calculus
Pros:
*no really long classes that I will kill myself in. English I can bear...maybe.
*two sciences!!!
*with the exception of labs, my latest release is at 1:40
*I am done by 12:10 on fridays, making coming home on the occasional weekend much easier
*I only have 1 class a week that starts before 9
Cons:
*calculus.
*no room for french this semester. poo-poo.
When I took my placement test for French, I got a 4 out of 5, which puts me into college level French IV = advanced!!! yayyy! :) Up yours College Board...with the 1 you gave me. Psssh. Kill yourselves.
And thanks to Mr. Marvelous and Magnificent Mell I have 3 credits of college english, without having done anything :)
I can't wait for classes to start, honestly :)
