I later found out that he took them all to the same place. That same stretch of sand, the same body of water. He stared out at the ocean with them and laughed. They thought that in his smile they would be able to find the kind of comfort that most people spend their whole life looking for, and now, here they are with him. How lucky they are. He remained comfortable and at ease, his shoulders were always relaxed.

You are walking down a crowded street and you see that a group of people have gathered infront of an ATM, you start to gather too. All the people, their eyes are made out of the same ocean. "This is terrible," you say to the ATM machine, which shows you a list of names. When you see your name on it you cannot relax your shoulders, you realize that you werent lucky when he took you there, that you were just a momentary amusement and now look, look at this mess, the world has run out of twenty dollar bills, and you are here- yes, I am here, in the big crowd, not on the pier playing it out as it was so nicely scripted.
