Gearing up again..
Uni prep has been done well in time for the semseter and although the postie is still waiting on the last few bits to make it go, I've done all of the important stuff on my to do list/s. I've taken time to make a plan of attack on my weakest areas and change up my routine from last semester. Booking in gym early in the morning will drive me out of bed earlier and get me going through the cold mornings. I'll need it as I have eight o'clock starts on three days of the week. That could be a bit of a shock since I've been sleeping for ten hours a night for over a week now.
The renovations have shifted up a gear and I'm thankful that it's happened over the holidays and not during semester. I've been missing the stove a little but I think it's challenged my cooking in a different manner than I've been used to, (ie allowing some ready stock into the pot). I've made a few curries, thai, ma po tofu and sashimi. So my house mate has been feed on occasion as well. It was bound to happen eventually.
Speaking of cool house mates. Loui is moving out at the end of the week. I wont have the cash to buy his cdj's unfortunately as other expenses have nailed my student budget to the wall for a little while. He was gracious enough to invite me to his work going away drinks which was much fun. Being the odd one out of the party, I made my fun by convincing people who asked about me that I was the cousin of one of Louis' introverted workmates. All of this with a fresh cyberpunk haircut and cyberdog top.
The end of the night turned out to be a bit of a surprise, a cute random girl tried to pick me up at the bar. Cue surprise, I think I was kind of overwhelmed with flattery to be honest. I wont bore with details but in the end I got her number. All whilst been looked upon from her friend with scorn because, "she goes for bastards", apparently. Quite strange since I was told by Loui later that I was too honest and upfront. :D
