Hostile over Hostel

Jan 23, 2006 12:10

I saw Hostel last night. What a disappointment :( I was expecting to at least be scared.. or more squeamish or something. The effects looked fake and essentially it was just a cheesy, elongated version of the preview. I guess the most interesting part of the whole movie is that the idea was based on true events. I dunno... I would have rather ( Read more... )

All the hype was about how gory and scary it was, but I found it hilarious. Hilarious in the way that only a cheesy horrer movie can be. I saw Quentien on TV promoting it. He said people were passing out and vomiting during the preview releases. That has to be BS.

of course it was Bs. The whole thing was lame and unsatisfying :( I suppose I should have figured that when we walked into the theatre and there was only 3 other people in it. Ugh, how I hate a crappy movie.

Ya, I think the general concensus is that Hostel was a huge let down, too bad really. Although I like the idea of there being a place wherein you can pay to do that kind of stuff (not that I would).

Your bunny is way too cute, sorting his food to find his favorites! My tortoise is like that too, if I put down a mix of greens and squash, he'll pick through to find his favs and even spit out the bits he doesn't like. Fussy eaters!

haha! That's so cute. I have to get Ninja new treats today. I got him these natural apple bites the other day cuz they're low in sugar but he doesn't seem to care for them much. I think he needs something a little sweeter. Although I toast him up little cubes of whole wheat bread till they're super crunchy and he seems to like that a lot. His favourite treats so far are still parsley and spinach. Maybe I'll make him some homemade treats using those ingredients. :)

Have you tried Timothy Hay or dried alfalfa? I remember those being particular favorites of my guinea pigs. We also used to get willow branches for them to chew on (from our backyard) to keep their little teeth from becoming crazy big teeth, they LOVED the branches.

I like your idea of making home baked treats. I'm sure if you poked around a bit you could find recipes fr bunny treats.

Ninja eats rediculous amounts of Timothy Hay everyday. :) It's really important for him to have in his diet for fibre purposes. I am concerned about his chewing habbits though! I've got all kinds of little wooden toys and chew sticks but he doesn't seem to care for them much. I'm getting worried now as I don't want him to start getting malocclusion of his toofies. I'd like to get him some natural sticks like Willow or other natural woods that are safe for him. I'm not sure if there's a willow tree close by though so I'll have a look when I'm on my way out today. I'll find out exactly which woods are safe for him and which aren't and then start gathering.. or see if somewhere sells them ready cleaned and trimmed for happy chewing. I'm also gonna take him to the vet soon for his first nail clipping. I'd like to see a vet do it the first time before I do it myself. :)

Thanks for the treat recipes. I just bought some yogurt yesterday so I think maybe I'll try it out today :)

Is that you, person who i used to work with at HMV. Good grief, is it ever a small world! I saw your pic on an animal blogs, and after going stalking I realized it could be the one and only! Plus, the repeated mentions of Matt helped give it away. I hope to see you at the store soon!

LOL!! Yep :) It's me! You found me on Baaaaby Animals didn't you!?!? hehe. Do you have an LJ? I may be by the mall today to pick up a new eyebrow ring. I always scope out the store to see who's working so I know whether or not to come by and say hello. I was also maybe gonna go to the zoo but it's too cold today and the zoo closes early during these months so unless you're out the door at 10am there's not much point. Anyway Mistress Bioligica (teehee) hopefully we'll cross paths soon, and in any event, you know how to find the writings of my secret life online :)

Do you miss him? I know you miss him. You should come over and play with him. He'll give you kisses and flip him ears for you! :) As for his very stylish little grey toes...there's also a teeny patch of little grey fluffy fur right above his tail- to accessorize no less. It seems that this fur feels more like cotton ball than fur though. He's so funny! My little funny bunny.

Ninja is ADORABLE!!! My late bunny Wilbur used to flip his bowl in protest all the time. He did it when he was hungry, thirsty, or just plain bored. He loved getting attention. He also was picky and chose his favourite colours and flavours from any treat we gave him. In the spring, you should try giving Ninja dandelions. Those were Wilbur's favourite.

Hehe. I'm glad you like him. You should come over and play with him. Fanning and I had tentative plans to get together sometime soon. YOu wanna get in on that shit? Omg!, how's Hef doing? You could bring him too and we could have a bunny party!! Also, I think I will try giving him dandelions in spring, or at least I'll take pictures of him sniffing them cuz that would be cute :)

Wilbur Hefner Iskander died in October while I was in Italy. I was crushed that I wasn't there for his final days, but he died peacefully in my brother's arms and he's buried in his favourite spot in our garden. He had a long run too (14 years!!!). I'm DEFINITELY down with hanging out with you and Fanning! It's been forever since I've seen either of you! Pleeeeeeease keep me posted.
