I'm glad I haven't worked in the mall for a long time. I found out today that a man was shot in the parking lot of Square One. He was shot twice in the face and was pronounced dead as he arrived at the Trillium Hospital. WHAT THE FUCK? I can't believe the number of gun related incidents that have been there over the past few years. I remember one day, while at work at HMV, one of my co-workers was asked by our manager to go get her a squishy/slurpy, whatever you wanna call it. Right as he was leaving the store and on his way down the escalator, he witnessed a shooting in the mall. Thank goodness nobody was killed, but one man was shot and ran away. My co-worker had to spend the rest of the day with police since he was so close to the incident. I also had a kid tell me once that his buddy was "packing heat" while I was waiting for my bus. Are you kidding me? Clearly I told the bus terminal security and the bus they were about to get on, about what he'd said in the event that the punk wasn't lying and could have hurt someone. Thankfully they were removed from the bus everyone made it home safe. The world is scary. Another time I couldn't even get the bus home because there were threats of someone having a gun at the bus terminal and the whole thing was shut down. What happened to all the men who fight their battles with their fists? Is everyone just turning into a pussy hiding behind a gun cuz they can't face their own problems? FUCK!!!
