I don't really have much to say. I just feel very happy lately. I love it! I feel like my whole attitude has been going through an adjustment and I realize that more and more I'm looking at the upside. (This is a feeling I havn't had this strong in a looong time) If I'm stuck in a hole of some sort, I'm enthusiastic about the challenge of getting out. When bad things happen to me, I try to laugh about it and honestly, it just makes everything seem so much more fun! Example, I was working at Blush Friday.. had a $220 tab and only got tipped $1.75. That's right.. $1.75. Usually this would make me furious but they were all from England and in England you generally don't tip because gratuity is added to the bill and the servers are paid well. Aside from the money issues, I had amazing conversation with the whole group and we were all genuinely entertained by one another, even exchanging e-mail addresses so we can talk music when they get back to England. It's relieving to know that something that would have set me off for a negative evening, ended up being hilarious simply because of how ridiculous it was. I had an amazing night. Even last night at Blush was really fun. A LOT of old acquaintances from previous jobs came in and it was just such an awesome vibe to see so many people happy to see each other :) Our new bouncers are entirely far too entertaining and theres a total feeling of everyone getting in tighter with one another there. That's a feeling I would have never expected to have there, but there it is... and it only happened after nearly the entire staff was let go and we're only down to 5 original members from the opening of the restaurant.
Speaking of the bouncers- Today I was talking to a friend who had asked me to check out a website of a friend of ours. As I was going through the pictures, I had to stop and take a closer look at who it was in the picture. Sure enough is was my dear bouncer Pete!!!. I've known he was a model since we started working together but I'd never seen any pictures or anything. Anyway, there he was and I just think it's cool what a small world it is cuz now I can tell him that a good friend of mine from high school has used him in her projects! :) I love learning how connected we all are. :)
My hours at the garden place are still going strong but I'm keeping my eye out for new places to bartend. Weekends won't be available since I'm sort of pre booked at Blush for a few big event nights but I can leave the greenhouse at any time really.. I just don't want to. So I'm still getting good hours. I'm totally digging working outside still. I wish it would start to warm up a bit more, but because I'm doing a lot of physical stuff I don't feel the cold so much even if it's chilly out. I did manage to get a pretty nasty sunburn on my lower back though. I was pulling weeds and was in a constant bent over stance for a few hours. My pants ride low and my shirt was lifted off my back a little and so I got just one belt strip of sunburn right above my ass. It's started to fade but it still looks pretty stupid. I'll have to try to even that out as best I can. At least it doesn't hurt anymore.
Well since I've managed to write a decent sized blurb about.. well nothing really. I think I'll sign off now. Have a great day kiddies :)
Jacob.. if you read this I left a message on your phone.. CALL MY ASS!!! not me.. just my ass. ~wink~
