fanmix: supernatural; when the warm sun turns to ash; sam/dean
One year. Three hundred and sixty five days. As the clock ticks down for Dean, the once seemingly endless roads are coming to a stop. The hunt, which used to be the most important thing, seems useless when all is said and done. As Sam searches for a way to save his brother, the most important person in his life, he begins to grow into someone he doesn't even recognize. Dean tries to fake indifference as he goes through woman and booze, hunting to take his mind off of whats to come more than anything. Still, he loves Sam more than anything and wants to live. For him, if not just for himself. Empty miles, ticking clocks, the pit is calling. They might not make it out of this one, but they're sure as hell gunna try.
I meant for this to be a Sam/Dean mix but it's really more of a Dean with Sam mix. It really focuses on Dean's "last year", and how he's coping. I do think of this as being a slashy mix, and there are songs that are purely Sam/Dean. But it mostly explores Dean, and Sam reacting to the possibility of losing his brother. A lot of these songs are rock/folk with a bit of country, to give you the feeling of being on the road with the boys. Some of them, well, aren't. I hope you enjoy it!
