I have been recently chastised for not posting to my journal enough. For example, the following conversation at Baycon a few weeks ago would probably not have occurred had I posted more often.
(The following conversation has been paraphrased for dramatic and comedic affect.)
Me: (to a friend I had not seen in a while) Hi! I have not seen you in a while. How have you been?
Friend I had not seen in a while: I have been okay. (Personal information left out due to privacy reasons). So, what have you been up to?
Me: Not a lot. School is down to its last month. I am looking for a job for the summer. I went up to Sonoma for my wedding anniversary.
Friend I had not seen in a while: What?! (annoyed look) You got married?!
Me: (sheepish) Um...yeah...uh...a year ago.
Friend I had not seen in a while: Why was this not posted in your journal?
Me: (more sheepish) Uh...it wasn't?
Friend I had not seen in a while: No!
Me: (even more sheepish) Well, Tifaine posted it in hers. It seemed silly to also mention it in mine.
Friend I had not seen in a while: But I don't read her journal, I read yours.
So, promises were made to post more often and mention things like marriage and such.
