That's really funny and just a bit surprising. Sure he's an arrogant, fake, sob who's better days are behind him, but he's still decent hitter. After losing Alou earlier, who are the Cubs going to rely on to clean up?
I've always told Bryce that Sosa was a self-centered fake. He was too much of a ham, hopping around when he hit home runs and doing that weird thing at the camera. Some acted like America was racist because more people wanted McGuire to win the home run race. McGuire was simply more likable and his home runs were spectacular.
I just think it's funny that they want to get rid of Sosa that much. But poor Baltimore! Why did it have to be Baltimore?
