Yay for Dante! This icons doubles as the occasional Devil May Cry AND ranty icon. The line is from the all-too short-lived Devil May Cry 3 manga and shows how little Dante cares for popular culture if he thinks the kids of today are still into hoola-hoops and Neil Sedaka albums.
I don't think rats are generally kept as pets in Japan, but I don't understand why for as often as they're portrayed favorably in anime and manga. This cute little guy is the animal form of an Earth Spirit Belldandy helped out in Ah, My Goddess. He went from haunting Megumi's new apartment to watching over her and I so want a cute little Earth Spirit Ratty to watch over me.
One of the many Silent Hill icons I have. This is from the first one and is a puzzle in the school where you have to press the keys in the right order based off the order certain birds are flying in a story. The blood is just there because looking at a regular piano keyboard would be boring. It's one of my favorite icons although I haven't been using it lately (that's what I get for having 115 of them).
I love Terry Pratchett's Death. By that I mean I love Discworld's Death, who's written by Terry Pratchett. This icon's from Soul Music, which is about Disworld's first Rock 'n' Roll band. This band has a troll in it who bangs on rocks, so they call their unique brand of music 'music with rocks in.' These fanboy wizards created a motorcycle, not knowing what it was only that it embodied what music with rocks in was all about, but Death promptly nabbed it to ride in on the climax of the story on. Anyway, this icon has both Death on a motorcycle and Discworld's very cumbersome way of saying Rock 'n' Roll. I love it.
*squee!* I love the cute little ratties with cute little musical instruments. I wonder how long that photo shoot lasted until they posed right.
