We went to my parents house for an early Christmas lunch. We opened presents while the lasagna cooked.
I got my Mom
The Price is Right DVD game and the first season of
Mama's Family. I gave my Dad some Saturday Evening Post cars and a book,
Walt Disney: Conversations. I gave my Grandma a swimsuit for her lawn goose, a nightgown, and our old VHS copy of
Bride of the Gorilla as a gag gift because she loves Raymond Burr (it was also included in those 50 public domain movies for $20 I bought a while ago).
The big present from my parents will be delivered on the 30th. They're giving us a
daybed to replace our living corpse of a futon (which should have been replaced this time last year at the latest), the comforter set and some pillows for it, and a white cedar chest. They also gave us a cute little air hockey table, some Omaha steaks, an animal encyclopedia, a baseball puzzle,
Frank and Ollie (which I can't wait to watch !!!!!!), and some of their Twilight Zone DVDs they don't need anymore now they're buying the boxed sets.
My Grandma gave us a candle, some chocolate covered cherries, and a $25 giftcard to Wal-Mart for each of us. I used mine Christmas day on something our store only carried for the first week it came out,
Ducktales Season 2.
I spent my Border's giftcard yesterday and even had a buy two books, get one free coupon to go with it. I got
The Basic Eight by Handler,
Good Omens by Gaiman and Pratchett, and
Mort by Pratchett. I also got a 50% off Coke calendar. Wheee!
