The streets of Sunnydale

Destiny's visions have called us to back to Sunnydale, a place where monsters never cease to become tired of their sport. I have agreed to patrol in teams, as the locals know the area better than I do. And it is worrisome, not knowing how the rest of my team is doing. Some I worry about less than others, but still ( Read more... )

*gives him a look*

Actually that wasn't as bad as some of the singing I've heard.

*smiles brightly*

Plus you didn't start on fire!

It was ... terrible. That song - it made no sense. Why would I wait when there are demons to kill?

*shrugs*

I don't know, maybe to choose the best plan of attack?

I sang a song about waffles and it didn't make any sense. Well, other than the fact that I like waffles and was thinking about them. And Donkey makes the best ones, you know.

I prefer pancakes. There are too many places to hide in waffles.

Have you had Donkey's waffles? They're much better than any pancakes I've ever eaten.

He speaks. I do not particularly approve of that in fairy tale dimensions, but even less so here. As Dylan will not let me determine if our cats speak.

*sees a vampire ahead, motions Anya to wait*

*swiftly stakes the vampire, before loping back towards Anya*

He did not have a very good singing voice...it made it particularly good to kill him.

*puts her stake away and swings her water gun*

You just said it made no sense for you to wait to kill a demon, so why did I have to? I could've helped you stake that vampire.

Not that you needed my help, but it makes no sense for me to wait, either.

It made no sense for both of us to wait...

But we did not wait, just you. And in the end, the vampire is dust and also were another one to have come around the corner, you would have seen and warned.

Well, that's certainly true.

*walks along with him*

Should I warn you that I hear a H'dla demon singing around here somewhere, or do you speak H'dla and you know that awful noise isn't a cat?

*looks at Anya in admiration*

I do not speak it - generally I kill demons before they can teach me their tongue. I am not familiar with such a demon - is there a particularly way they die?

The standard beheading usually works.

We had a few that worked as janitors in D'hoffryn's office. That's how I know their language.

*wrinkles his nose*

Janitors. This explains the smell.

*swings his axe lightly in his grip*

Do you wish to accompany me into the alley this time or wait again?

Can I accompany you into the alley and watch? I don't have a nice axe like you do.

*nods his head*

*looks at his axe proudly*

It is a very fine one, indeed.

*moves ahead of Anya as they reach the mouth of the Alley, dodging the tail of the demon and slicing one of its arms*

Ooh, watch out for his tail, he's swinging it again!

*stands on her toes so she can see better*

*calls out*

Thank you!

*jumps up, over the tail as it swings towards him*

*lands lightly on his feet, ducks slightly and comes up underneath the demon's arm*

*slices the head off cleanly*

*nods, bowing slightly to Anya*

Your assistance was most appreciated.
