After 17 hours of work, I am now unemployed. I had been told, last Tuesday, that business was slow at the dollar store and that they'll call me when they need me. Today, I went to pick up my cheque and I was told that I wouldn't be working there anymore. The manager said that she kept training me to not be nervous, but "I didn't learn anything" and

That sucks I'm so sorry. So soon atfter you got the job as well? Either they were rude enough to not give you a proper chance or their business really was failing.

Doesn't mean you're bad at it, it's a DOLLAR store for jeebs sake. Just carry on with retail if that's all you find you want to/can do. You've got some experience already so you'll be better and you'll be more comfortable with it this time round.

Aww hun, that sucks. :( But it doesn't sound like that good of a job anyways - what do THEY know? Doesn't sound like they're too successful. ;) I have faith in you. :D
