Past shows..
Taste of Chaos was, well, chaos. I had trouble getting my pass because the idiot at the door can't read. But I got it in time to take pictures of Bleed The Dream, who performed about a 10-15 minute set. They have a new guy in the band, apparently just for the acoustic stuff. He's short, cute, and british.
I also got pictures of Senses Fail (Buddy is a bitch to take pictures of! But they were good, my first time REALLY seeing them), Killswitch Engage (who sucked, I might add), My Chemical Romance (Gerard looked like he had been fighting before the show, haha), and The Used (Bert nearly punched Amber in the face, and pretty much spit right in front of the photographers). After the show I handed out a bunch of stuff for The Syndicate. I met a few of the guys from the Tallahassee, FL band, Defining Moment (who I might add are really good).
Thursday night, Karen and I went to Milwaukee to see The Starting Line. Her friends band, MariZen gave us free tickets. Unfortunately, because Defining Moment (yes..the same FL band we had met the night before, lol) cancelled, we missed MariZen's show, because they went on an hour early. That sucked.
And yeah.. JAMISON PARKER SUCKED! I wanted to cry. It was the first time I had ever seen them, though I've been a fan for like over a year, and they just....sucked. Jamison (I think he's the singer, haha), sounded like he was ruining his vocal chords. And the lighting sucked. And they went emo..I don't know. Just not the band that I went to see. And I thought Jamison had been sick, so that would explain his voice, but he was out at the merch booth laying down with his head on his girlfriends lap, so apparently not. We'll see how much longer he's singing.
The Starting Line was good. I really only know one song of theirs (I'll give you one guess as to what song that is...). Unfortunately, I had no money with me, so I couldn't buy anything. BUT Brigid was my savior, and decided to buy me TSL's acoustic EP (and doesn't want the money back!). I love her. She rocks. She probably just got all the money back though, because she was there with TSL, haha.
