Tonight was NFG. Mmm..NFG. Haha. I hadn't seen them since their tour with Green Day and Sugarcult, and wow was I totally excited to see them.
First off was Eisley. I didn't really like them. It's not that their bad or anything, because they're extremely talented and I have much respect for them, it's just that to me all their songs sounded the same. And both girls have the same voice, so there's not much difference when they take turns singing songs. Next up was Reggie & The Full Effect. They were the ones who put me on their guestlist for a photo pass. They were alright. James is quite the character on stage. He pulled some kid up on stage and had him drive around in a miniature fire engine, spraying water on the crowd. He then came out covered in fake blood.
Next up was NEW FOUND, FUCKING, GLORY! Haha. I was the only one up front taking pictures, which was a bit strange, but whatever. I enjoyed having all the space up there to myself. I enjoyed all three of the first songs. I nearly got killed by Chad, Steve, and Jordan though. They kept running around on stage like an idiot. Oh well, it was still hugely fun. I wound up still having my semi-front row spot off to the side, right in front of the speakers. And I swear that Chad and Jordan kept looking at me..but I think I'm imagining that, lol. Anyways..Chad was gorgeous, as usual. Unfortunately, after the show, they weren't letting people down by the busses, so there was no way I could get a picture with them. Oh well. Next time..but that won't be for a long time seeing as they're recording after this tour. :(
I've also come to the conclusion that I'm getting sick, and that knowing security guards is good. One of the guys I knew let me go up the non-open staircase to the venue because I had a photo pass and I didn't want to wait in line, and then he gave me a guitar pick. I felt spoiled..I wound up getting two others as well! I think one is Chad's, one is Steve's, and one is Ian's. I'm not sure about Chad and Steve's though..I think they were sharing pick's. Ian's has a picture of him on there so I know it's his, haha.
Oh yeah..and after I got home, Megan called me to say that Bleed The Dream's drummer, who hasn't toured in awhile because he's had cancer, passed away today. That was a blow to the day. It made me really sad. :(
