yesterday i was helping this woman and her daughter buy an 8 piece table setting.i was told that the set was from the make a wish foundation.i started helping her daughter pick out the table setting she wanted, we got in to conversation and she told me she was in a hospital for 5 years because she had been waiting for a new kidney. she just got out a few weeks ago. i stood there trying to keep my cool and not get emotional, but i couldn't hold back. i started getting really teary eyed enough to where i could hardly see, the tears were building up so fast. i tried to hide it, but it was so obvious. her mother sat there and looked up at me and paused for a second. she started getting really teary eyed too. i apologized over and over for being so emotional. she looked at my badge and in tears she says, "britney,it's okay" and gave a warm smile.
for some reason i felt like i was supposed to run into them yesterday.
it's already 3:30 am and i haven't gone to sleep yet. good thing i don't work this morning.
