Congratulations! It is my pleasure to announce your acceptance into the Fall 2005 SCAD-Lacoste off-campus program. An amazing residential experience that cultivates unique artistic pursuits and learning experiences; SCAD-Lacoste will have a profound impact and certainly inspire a lifetime of memories.
A talented group of SCAD faculty members will engage and challenge you, through course instruction and field trips throughout the surrounding areas. The quarter has been condensed to nine weeks, including a study week during which courses will not be taught. Many students take advantage of this week and expand their extracurricular education by traveling to other destinations throughout Europe.
Your experience will depend largely on your efforts ? make the most of your time and don?t be afraid to make new friends. As the guest of another country, remember to treat others with respect and appreciate customs and traditions different from your own. While it is a lot of fun, SCAD-Lacoste is a serious academic endeavor; class participation is expected and unexcused absences will not be tolerated.
