NYC
I have been making updates, but nothing too much about New York City.
So, here goes, for those who care:
I absolutely love it here. My roommate is too awesome...we have been having a blast together. We live in the best location in Manhattan...right in Union Square...in the cutest apartment that is so nice. I am just ecstatic! The internship at the studio has been going really great too. I started this week...however, this was a slow week and we only had one shoot. However next week, M-F we are shooting the new Armani Collection for Spring...should be awesome. I'm totally excited to be able to work with these photographers and network like this. The studio also buys my lunch everyday and pays for my subway pass!!!
I also just got hired at an Urban Outfitters which is five blocks from my apartment. I start on Saturday. Should be grand as well.
My roommate is a theatre major at NYU and is helping me get hooked up with doing some acting headshots for some extra cash.
Everything is great here...and I am loving it. Last night, I spent two hours just wandering around the streets in East Village shooting pictures in the freezing cold. I was so content and wired the rest of the night...just because of that. I have had so much alone time...it's been incredible...on top of meeting some wonderful new people. I am just so happy.
I didn't think I would be...moving here all alone and knowing no one....but I love it. It is so hard not to love this city. I got to go shopping today all by myself and just watch people and walk around the streets. I cannot even describe it. I love this vacation of mine so much, that I think it will be awhile before I want to come back home.
The only bad part is, my two boys cannot be here with me. But to be honest...I am really enjoying this alone time.
