The Discipleship Training School (DTS) is designed to be a time for just you and God. Itxs a time to seek His face and hear His voice. It's a time to feel God's heart beating for the nations. Itxs a time to get away from the distractions of your life and focus on Jesus. It's a time to get out of your comfort zone and give all that you have to Him - your time, your plans, your fears, and your life! It's a time to take a step of faith and see God use you to -reach a lost and dying world.
DTS Curriculum:
* Father Heart of God
* Identity In Christ
* Bible Study
* Hearing God's Voice
* Maintaining Godly Relationships
* Spiritual Warfare
* Evangelism
* Urban & Mercy Ministries
* World Missions
DTS is divided into two parts: the twelve-week lecture phase and the nine-week international outreach.
Seattle DTSLecture Phase
During the lecture phase, you will be involved in hands-on training and discipleship. You will be with people from all over the world who are passionately seeking God's will for their lives. It is an incredible opportunity to draw near to Jesus and reach out to others.
While participating in DTS, you will also be involved in ministering in Seattle. The Seattle base is involved in many different urban outreach programs, which you will experience while you are here. From the youth on the streets, to the women and children in the family shelter, we want to be a light to those around us.
Outreach Phase
After twelve weeks of intensive training, you will put what you have learned into practice on a nine-week cross-cultural outreach. There are a wide variety of ministries you will be a part of as you take His love to the nations. Whether you are trekking to a hill tribe of unreached people, teaching English in universities, building a church in a village of new believers, or holding orphaned children in your arms, you will demonstrate the Gospel in a real way to the lost and broken.
The outreach is an awesome time of growth and change. You will see this both in your life and in the lives of the people you will minister to. It's amazing that a God as big as ours, is willing to use us to fulfill the Great Commission. As you take this step of faith to share His love with those who may have never heard, you will be changed forever.
Outreach destinations can be anywhere in the world. A few of the nations we've been to recently are Kyrgyzstan, Vietnam, Thailand, China and Fiji. If you want to be used by God, now is the time.
its an amazing experience and one of my best friends Anne Michelle just got through one and now shes gunna be doin some more stuff....this is an amazing experience and opportunity that i am whole heartedly wanting to do....i just pray for the support and that Gods will may be done as He works through me....I pray for more and more prayers and that my faith and trust will lie in Him solely.....
