Over New Years I made ship and character art for my profile and finally put them up today. So go to my profile and check them out if your interested. I'm particularly happy with how the ship art turned out. It was time for a little touch of change and since I generally suck at actually following threw with making my visuals or posts actually reflect my current interests I'm very pleased that I finally got this done.
That said, big life changes are afoot for me and mine. Nothing really personal much more work related. See, my boss bought his own shop and both myself and my husband are going with him (as well as almost everyone else I work with in our auto dealership body shop). This has been brewing since the beginning of December and my bosses last day here was Monday. He is getting the new place ready and I'm stuck here training his replacement. Then either next week or the week after I'm training my replacement. Then I get to the new shop and have to learn everything all over again myself.
But it will be worth it. More money, more security (since this place is already going to shit as we knew it would when my boss left), a bit more sanity, and alot more respect. Part of my deal with my boss was that he was to never refer to me as his secretary again. I will be his assistant or the office manager or some such - but never again a secretary.
So big changes.
In the coming weeks I will be collectively more and more scarse around LJ and in a few weeks when it all really goes down I will probably announce an official hiatus. But for now everything else is good. It's cold, I'm having to work to hard, the kids are rotten and having birthdays right and left (Megan's turned 11 last Saturday 1/10 and Brady turns 6 this coming Monday 1/19), and Ben and I are just hanging on for the ride.
Thank Christ that all my shows are coming back with a vengence. Battlestar Galactica (FINALLY!), Lost (OMG! Can't wait!), Supernatural (Oh, DEAN!), etc. And since I have DirecTV (as most of you know since I have been posting S3 every week) Friday Night Lights S3 has been keeping me very happy indeed. I need my TV right now to know to keep me sane.
