This is by no means a review - even if I did have the time it's not worth the effort. I guess this is my reaction post after about 4 days of stewing over it all. But I keep answering my flist with comments on their posts and I just feel like I should get it out there you know? *sigh* Anyway, it's all behind the cut although at this point anything ( Read more... )

Thanks. Yeah, that was what I was like when I was only a few months out from marathoning the first 2 books and was insanely in love with the series.

I don't know about the rush or not. But there were some fundemental plot points that I just didn't like for the series and the tone of this book was a bit off for me. The Edward I fell in love with was a shadow of his former self, Jacob should have not been in the book at all IMO - when he rode off in Eclipse he should have started his own adventures (she has expressed that she would like to write more about him in the future - but that this book would "wrap up the E/B story with a nice little bow" - more like confetti if ask me, but bygones...), the pregnancy was sooooooo fanfic. The almost fight at the end gave me bloodlust - seriously - I wanted a smackdown with all that build up, AND just the whole Renessme thing was just too strange. Plus, I thought the lack of love scenes cut out like scenes in a soap opera. Eclipse was way hotter.

Anyway - yeah. It's just a huge can of worms and believe me I can babble and yammer with the best of them.
