i'm alive - at least physically
I guess I should post that I'm kinda on a mini-hiatus since I probably won't post for at least another week. I don't have time to post now, but in the interest of at least trying I'll run down the insanity for you in short order:
- Yesterday while at work one of my external hard drives (I have 2 in one case) took a shitter. Now it's saying it is not formated 'would you like to format it now'. There goes 20G of pictures - ALL of my TV Shows. That means all of my caps that aren't on disk. ALL of my favorite shows promo pics for the life of the series. You name it. That was the primary function of that HD, TV shows. And since I'm a dumb bitch who was naive enough to think this wouldn't happen to me, I had never moved ANY of the 3 seasons of Supernatural caps to disk, or S3 caps of Lost, or any Friday Night Lights caps. All of my promos from Supernatural (including all of those extra one we got last year), Friday Night Lights, Veronica Mars, BtVS, Alias, Lost, Battlestar Galactica, Smallville and a few others. Up until just ONE WEEK AGO I had backups of most of these on my HD here at work. But clever me was trying to free up some HD space here and decided I didn't need 2 massive TV folders. *sob* Thousands of picture whoring hours down the shitter. For that alone I'm sour enough to just be invisible for a few weeks. If anyone has any ideas how I can recover my files PLEASE let me know. This is like a class 4 mental disaster for me. I am just beside myself, honestly it makes me feel nauseous to think about or even type.
- Behind at work from the holiday and end of the month crap. Nothing unexpected there. I'm behind on emails and the whole lot. See above for what I'm doing in my spare time if I have any.
- My ex-husband is gone, although he did buy a house up in Arkansas (probably a good 200 miles away at least, I have no clue) he had told me his wife and other kids were moving back to the country but he wasn't. He told Megan they all were. Fuck it, I don't even care. Could be worse, he could be moving back here.
- We went to Alabama for Thanksgiving at the farm. It was nice but I'm still exhausted and behind at home as well. Saturday before Thanksgiving we had that gymnastics meet in Hattisburg and it was a disaster. Not just for Megan but our whole team. Plus my Friday Night Lights didn't record since I had never changed the clock on the VCR after the time change. So I had to wait until last Monday and download that.
Basically I'm just in a terribly foul state of mind. I'm trying to look at my flist throughout the day, but that too is falling behind. I hope everyone understands that I am here but mentally absent and pretty much devoid of all civility. Bah.
