Playing catch up...
I have seriously been slacking. I think part of the reasons I haven't posted in a week is because I don't know where to start. *sigh*
I'm just going to do a rundown and get to the big posts later. Just want everyone to know how I have been occupying my time both in fandom/online and in RL.
* My baby starts 3rd grade tomorrow. Well, Brady is technically my baby, but I'm talking about Megan - my daughter and first real love of my life. I feel old. Bleh. She came home from her grandparents (my ex-husbands parents) this weekend beaten up because she fell off a horse - I am NOT happy about it at all and told her grandmother as much when she brought her home. Other than the obvious that she could have been really seriously injured (right now she just looks like she got in a bar fight, seriously!), I pay WAY too much money for her gymnastics for her to screw it up by getting hurt riding a gorram horse. They have their first meet in a month and we have our first mock meet this Thursday at our gym. So I told Megan last night that she didn't seem to understand that behind my house note, car note and grocery's we spend more on her gymnastics in a month than anything else. She got some kind of perverse pleasure out of that (even if it might not be true - I omitted Brady's daycare...) . The point is my ruse worked and I not only made her feel like she could be pissing away everything she has worked so hard for but also MY money. I do what I can with the guilt. I know, I know - I'm terrible. But I just don't her getting seriously hurt and I do what I have to do.
* Watched both S1 and S2 of Veronica Mars and I'm hooked. Working on art as we speak. I can't just make 10 bases and call it a day, I have to really dive in - so I'm working on it. I have alot of thoughts and feelings on VM - but that really warrants it's own post. I just need to collect them into something coherant - I'm too busy right now to turn out a really good rant/essay that my viewing of this show merits.
* Almost completely done marathoning Entourage, just lacking the 3rd disk of S2 and I will be done. I can't even express how much I delight in this shows male hilarity. It is very much a guy show, but I simply adore it. Probably the funniest series that has ever been on the air - way better than even Seinfeld. And I grew up old school to be sure. The cast is perfect and as an ensemble hilarity insues during every episodes. Words don't even have to be spoken - but when they are it just get's better and better. LOVE IT.
* Where in the heck are all of our fall promos shoots? The only show I watch that has released any yet is Bones and I'm starting to get a little testy. I actually made a Bones wallpaper from one of the promo shots - it's simple like I like them and really only took about 10 minutes to make, but if you are interested here it is:
I have had a Tom Welling/Maggie Grace one on my home computer for a while and I wanted something else simple for my screen, and that promo is just wonderfulness. Oh, and I took out the newcomer since I don't know if I will like her yet, but my S1 peeps are in full attendance :D.
* I am sooooooooo addicted to Big Brother 7/All Stars. Dr. Will Kirby pwns my soul. He is just awesome! I have only been watching for a few weeks and fell in love with his manipulative spirit and just plain evilness. Muhahahhaha. I didn't see S2, but would sure like to. Unfortuately - for some unknown reason, CBS doesn't think that it merits a DVD set. Bah! They have released S3 and S4 (S3 was wonderful as well, because of my girl Danielle)but now I'm addicted to the evil doctor dammit!!! Grrrr...
* I'm going to be putting out more brushes and textures soon as well as some Veronica Mars and Entourage art. It's just been a busy time for me at the actual TV instead of at the computer, so bear with me.
