Ohayo!
Just finished my Access quiz :3 I wish this day was over already! >< After classes today I get to go over to Ben/Wes's place to watch Advent Children me thinks^^ Everyone's raving about it, making me so excited o.o' I have a lot of homework for the weekend meh :/ This Sunday is also X-fest, if my friends are still planning on going (Rob said she may), I will go because my dad said he would help me pay for my ticket^^; But I guess I need to figure out if they are still going or not, heh. I hope the dust isn't as bad as it was last year, that's for sure @.@
In other stuffs, I kind of want to join this new Dynamis thingy that our linkshell has a part in, but they are doing runs on like Wednesday nights, and that's the one night of the week I have a night class go figure XD Oh well ._.'
Oh yea, night class! my Eastern Religions class is totally cool, it's the best 3 hours of the week ^^; We get to watch a lot of cool videos, and the text book is like a journalistic account of the author experiencing these religions, which is really a lot cooler then some scholastic peice of junk :E Right now we're studying Hinduism, and I am really intrigued by a lot of the lore behind it. Maybe I'll become a Hindu XD
Anyways, if any of you care to know a bit about it, there are basically 3 different paths that the Hindu can follow, and they're not really mutually exclusive, but you generally focus your interest most in one of the paths, and lesser in the other 2. The paths are "the path of knowledge" (can't remember the sanscrit for this), "the path of devotion" (Bhakti), and "the path of duty/worship" (dunno this one either ; ;). We haven't studied the latter path yet, but the Bhakti is basically the devotion of yourself to a certain god or goddess, which is an aspect of Brahman (the Divine Reality). The path of knowledge, which is the one that is interesting to me, involves the cycle of samsara (reincarnation), and how Hindus strive through obtaining good karma to escape from Samsara and obtain Moksha, which is the term for liberation from samsara and being released into Brahman. I would be able to explain this a lot better but my class is letting out so I have to cut it short >< But anyway if any of you are interested just question me, I could ramble about it for hours :)
