My endless discussion with Ron has been suspended indefinitely...probably never get back around to it. I wrote like 20 pages of response but never put it up. Guess that happens when I lose interest in things.
What I really came on to write about was something that happened to me this morning.
Yesterday I was in this lab for over 5 hours working on hw. During that entire period of time my flash drive was in the USB port on the front of the comp tower. Evidently when I was packing up and saying goodbye to Jordan...I forgot to take it with me. Not the first time...
Well like with most other things I carry (wallet, phone, keys, etc) I take everything out when I go to bed...and then put it all back in my pockets when I leave in the morning. Well when I left this morning I noticed I had the flash drive holder...but no flash drive.
I of course said "Shit..." and figured I had left it in the lab. Well I left yesterday after 3. The lab closes at 5 when the secretary leaves. The lab doesn't open till 8:30 when the secretary arrives. I got to school about 10:00...feeling pretty good. I mean...there was a period of less than 4 hours that someone would have taken it.
I walk in the lab...sure enough it's gone. The computer has the "Please remove non-system disk and press any key" error on the screen. Which means that in the hour and a half that the lab was open someone stole it. >_< Because the computers reset during the night. That error popped up because the flash was still in the port when it reset.
I asked the secretary and no one turned it in. I asked the three people that were in the lab when I got there. They hadn't seen it.
There were a few things on there I can't replace. -_- *sigh* I keep hoping my name was on something in it. That maybe someone will try to return it.
Not a super start to the day.
EDIT: Turns out the cleaning lady found it "on the floor" in the lab. >_> On the floor huh? Oh well. I have it back. One of my hw's I hadn't finished was pushed back and the other I managed to finish between classes. More hw to be done before I can quit for the day. At least things are getting better than they are worse.
