Someone told me to. My LJ name.
I haven't put anything up here in quite a while. It would have been longer...but someone tagged me with one of those thingies.
Evidently I'm suposed to expalin the meaning behnd my LJ name "_chevron_".
No Court it doesn't have anything to do with the price of gas. =P Though you are on the right track.
Chevron is probably one of my oldest and most random nicknames.
First of all the little underscores...yea those are there because someone already had "chveron". No special purpose. The name itself came from the result of a joke someone was making about my real name.
To be honest I don't remember the joke exactly. All that matters is that the punchline had the phrase "phillip with gas". Most people (despite how they try to pronounce it) usually say "phil-lup" and not "phil-lip".
Well from that day forth one of the people I first started roleplaying with (Jupe...better known as Steph) gave me the nickname Chevron...after the gas station.
So really I'm surprised you didn't know where that was from. Courtney was one of the first people I ever roleplayed with as well. =P Long live the Dojo.
That pretty much sums it up though. I'm sure most people can related to the task of trying to find a SN for some new online activity. The old nickname just popped into my head when I signed up for LJ a few years back. Sorry if it's not more exciting. ^_^
Anyway I guess I get to call out some people.
Becca- You might have explained your SN before...but what the hell is up with that name?
Alex- Are you a fan of Ghost Rider? What's the deal?
Kelly- You know...I can't remember if you ever told me where your SN came from. Was it a character or what?
Amanda- I think you told me once...but tell me again. =P
