Notary B.I.G.
A friend of mine asked if I could notarize something for him. I became a notary in order to perform a wedding 3.5 years ago. I have used my powers less than 5 times. I always take notarizing a document too seriously. I get set up with my stamp and check to make sure I have a good pen. My mom was a notary in Texas and she had this seal that I would press into all papers. I just have a lousy ink stamp. Regardless, I feel very official. I’ll probably let it my commission lapse next February, unless any of my engaged friends want me to perform their wedding ceremony. (hint, hint)
