I've been informed by the city that there will be, apparently, some sort of prize for the person who spends the most money at the date auction. Don't ask me what, they didn't tell me. Go ahead and imagine it's whatever you want.
The auction will be the start of various other smaller festival activities but I suppose the next most important thing is the concert the next day. A formal dinner/dance and good music? Sounds like my sort of event, unlike those silly things thrown here.
Also, when did I become the liaison for the city, anyway?
