(no subject)
so apparently no one uses lj anymore except zach. i'll update just for the heck of it. you may be wondering, what has been going on with me since april, or, more likely, you have not. let's see.
1. it was josh's birthday on may 13th. we all went to cheesecake factory, and only after we were already seated and being given the menus did we realize that we went there last year for his birthday, oops. talk about repetitive.
2. josh and i were going to go to MOCA but i was in a bitchy mood and didn't want to drive that far. we went to the getty instead.
3. i went to carpinteria with my aunt, to look at plants, scenery, etc.
4. josh, jeff, kenny and i went to dave&buster's 40 miles away somewhere in the valley. we won an assload of tickets playing this trivia game against a bunch of stupid people. we split the tickets 4 ways. i ended up redeeming my tickets for a pink squishy ball that can be molded into any shape, a shot glass and a yo-yo.
5. somewhere in there i went to the doctor, they drew blood for a blood test and ended up skewering my vein. the picture was gross so i'm not posting it.
6. everybody graduated. my aunt took me, josh and josh's parents out to dinner at shanghai red's in the marina. i tried not to be awkward.

7. i also went to nina's graduation party, sat next to lei-ana and got interrogated to the fifth degree about how come i wasn't married yet. the steak was really good and bloody. nina looked sexy, but all the pictures i have of her make her look pretty damn horrible, so i'd rather not post.
8. my other boss had a birthday bbq and i walked around eating drumsticks.
9. i went to my aunt's house to help her with decor ideas. we also went to ross to look at shoes. the fire alarm went off in the store and no one stopped doing what they were doing. we continued to shop for shoes for the next 15 minutes, with the alarm blaring.
10. we stopped at ikea on the way back to partake in their summer sale. i finally got a "dining room" table that doesn't fall over when i try to eat off of it. (and a little chair)
..but my favorite purchase was a new lamp for my bedside table, with a pleated shade! also got a modern picture frame.
after getting back on the 10, we were stopped in traffic for one hour. turns out there was an SUV with a bullet hole through the windshield and about 20 cop cars blocking the other 4 lanes of the freeway. lovely.
11. i went to OSH to buy plants, light bulbs and spray paint. the cashier asked if i was over 18 (to be able to buy the spraypaint) and i gave him a "what are you, retarded?" look. i organized my cabinets and called it a day.
